Friday, June 26th, 2009

We have been invited to join some of the country’s most prestigious digital people at an exclusive event.

Next week, we will be heading to the capital with one of just six North East-based businesses selected to attend the High Growth conference.

As part of the conference, which aims to give software and technology-based businesses the chance to explore strategic partnering, flotation or equity finance, we will be meeting with top bods at Microsoft, Google and Silicone Valley businesses.

We will also be given the chance to meet some potential corporate customers and be given advice on how to develop our business.

Wladimir Baranoff-Rossine, project manager, said: “This is another great chance to spread the word about the work we do to some of the world’s biggest companies.”

Plugg

We have been chosen to battle it out against 19 top businesses to be crowned European start-up of 2009.

Plugg 2009 has selected dpivision.com Ltd to Brussels to take part in their Start-Ups rally at a conference next month.

We fought off fierce competition from 126 businesses from across Europe to get through to the finals, where we will be giving a short presentation on our latest application CannyBill.com.

Unfortunately, we will are heading stateside to pitch our products at the South By South West Interactive Festival in Texas at the time so we are submitting a video in a bid to win over judges in our absence.

“Plugg, widely known as the conference where the top European startups, entrepreneurs, investors, pundits, trade press & bloggers annually meet up to discuss the current and future state of the Internet and mobile industry in Europe, is today announcing the twenty nominees for the event’s exhilarating pitching competition, the Plugg Start-Ups Rally.

Selected from a pool of 126 European startups who have submitted their profile online, a professional jury of industry pundits and venture capital investors have picked twenty companies that will give a short presentation about their product or service. They will each get 2 minutes to pitch their startup to the Plugg audience and the select crew of jury members will subsequently select 3 finalists to present for 10 minutes after that. Two awards will be given out: one for the overall winner and one for the startup that got the most votes from the audience.“

Plugg 2009 Start-Ups rally takes place on March 12. For more information, visit:
