Doing our bit for the environment

Tree Foundation

We’re keeping green as we stamp out our carbon footprint.

Dedicated web hosters Rackspace have issued us with an Ecertificate from International Tree Foundation (ITF) to confirm trees have been planted at Strouts Field, Chesham Bucks this winter to cancel out the carbon emissions created by the server.

So we’re definitely on track to helping keep the environment clean.

ITF is a UK-based tree charity, which plants, protects and promotes trees in the UK and overseas.

Stripping off for charity

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

Here at Dpivision.com we’ve dug deep and donated to a worthwhile cause.

London tech geeks – and geekettes – have been stripping off to produce a calendar for charity, and CannyBill has sponsored the month of June www.nudetechcalendar.ning.com.

All of the proceeds will go to Take Heart India www.takeheartindia.org, a youth-run charity focused on IT education projects in India for blind and disabled students.

The charity doesn’t employ anyone, so 100 per cent of proceeds are spent on education projects.

Take Heart is guided by the principle that “work builds, charity destroys”, rather than giving money to people, Take Heart empowers through practical education and skills training.

So for those of you who haven’t already bought yourselves a 2010 calendar, then do your bit for charity and buy one from:

Happy Christmas

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

It’s that time of year again where we shut down the office so we can welcome Santa, open our prezzies and pile on several pounds.

With that in mind and the festive season – complete with a heavy sprinkling of snow – in full swing, we want to wish all of our customers and everyone we have worked with this year a very merry Christmas.

We will be closed for our festive break on the 25th, 26th and 1st of January but available by email and phone for the rest of the time.

Pirates strike online

Friday, October 16th, 2009

Swashbuckling is an activity normally carried out on the high seas.

But piracy is as rife as ever online.

Notice anything familiar about these screenshots?

You’d be forgiven for thinking someone had got their hands on our carefully crafted creations but unfortunately, that’s not the case.

After a quick trawl of the Internet, our research revealed there are plenty of websites out there imitating both our www.dpivision.com and www.cannybill.com.

It’s just a good job we’re all flattered by it here!

dpivision.com Ltd – Original

dpivision.com Ltd

Pirate Site 1

Now this person really hasn’t bothered to change very much at all!

Pirate Site 2

And again, another company taking our design and just adding their logo but worst of all, doing a terrible job of it!

003

CannyBill – Original Site

cannyBill

Pirate Site 1

Well again not much effort has been put in to change our original design. They’ve changed the logo and some text but that’s about it!

001

Pirate Site 2

Well this is not a pirate site as such, just someone taking our CannyBill and Tradingeye sites and featuring them in their own portfolio!

Kate Davies

We have backed a fearsome fight against cancer.

Dpivision.com Ltd has sponsored Kate Davies to complete a gruelling four hour kick-boxing challenge

Brave Kate is taking part in the Phoenix Martial Arts Sponsored Fight where, over four hours, she will be non-stop fighting, changing opponents every minute.

All of the cash raised will go to Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign, with the last challenge raising a staggering £40,000 for the charity. Good luck Kate!
