4IP

Our unique way of thinking has secured us a place on the Crossover 4iP Lab.

Channel 4 is challenging the region’s top digital entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas at a three day conference in Newcastle this week.

They are on the hunt for inspirational and fresh ways of engaging with the public through various media platforms.

And the best ideas will receive a cash injection from Channel 4 to help launch them.

Crossover is an international programme designed to explore the creative and the commercial challenges of developing content and services for digital media.

During the three days, the series of creative laboratories will see experienced and talented professionals from different sectors of the audio-visual industries work alongside international experts and mentors to develop ideas for innovative cross-platform programmes, products or services.

Wladimir Baranoff-Rossine, project manager at Dpivision said:

“We are delighted to have been selected to take part in this event and look forward to contributing with some of the North East’s most talented companies.”

“This year has already proven to be a very exciting for us with our company having been chosen to take part in the UK Digital Mission trip to Texas and been selected for the finals of the European Startup Awards. We can’t wait to get stuck in!””

Plugg

We have been chosen to battle it out against 19 top businesses to be crowned European start-up of 2009.

Plugg 2009 has selected dpivision.com Ltd to Brussels to take part in their Start-Ups rally at a conference next month.

We fought off fierce competition from 126 businesses from across Europe to get through to the finals, where we will be giving a short presentation on our latest application CannyBill.com.

Unfortunately, we will are heading stateside to pitch our products at the South By South West Interactive Festival in Texas at the time so we are submitting a video in a bid to win over judges in our absence.

“Plugg, widely known as the conference where the top European startups, entrepreneurs, investors, pundits, trade press & bloggers annually meet up to discuss the current and future state of the Internet and mobile industry in Europe, is today announcing the twenty nominees for the event’s exhilarating pitching competition, the Plugg Start-Ups Rally.

Selected from a pool of 126 European startups who have submitted their profile online, a professional jury of industry pundits and venture capital investors have picked twenty companies that will give a short presentation about their product or service. They will each get 2 minutes to pitch their startup to the Plugg audience and the select crew of jury members will subsequently select 3 finalists to present for 10 minutes after that. Two awards will be given out: one for the overall winner and one for the startup that got the most votes from the audience.“

Plugg 2009 Start-Ups rally takes place on March 12. For more information, visit:
